The Eater of Worlds
Breaking a shadow orb summons the Eater Of Worlds. It is the second test (the first being the Eye of Cthulhu).

The Eater Of Worlds first appears in #186, and was killed in #200.

The scales of the shadow beasts can be used to make powerful armor.
When The Eater Of Worlds drops the items , they almost forget them, and June reminds them. Maxx has to go back and get them.
Demonite is made when the Eater Of Worlds spreads corruption by eating normal soil and rocks and processing them into their corrupt forms. Demonite is a regular metal that's been eaten and passed by the Eater. These two types of items are found in the Eaters stomach.
